Handmade by expert ceramicists in Portugal, the lamp bases we have designed for the Comporta Collection encapsulate one of the most significant and historical crafts of the country – ceramics. Portugal’s history with ceramic production goes back centuries, and with skills passed down through family generations, the country is known for its distinctive ceramic tiles coating the outside of buildings. For the collection, we’ve designed three classic lamp base shapes, available across eight colourways that signify the hues found in and around Comporta.

Our Torca Lamp Bases are a reimagination of the classic column lamp. Displaying an elegant spiral relief, the bases are a contemporary take on a traditional silhouette. We’ve glazed the bases in rich mustard and deep, racing green, both of which are colourways that give a feeling of effortless sophistication inspired by the Portuguese coast.
